Texts from Students Who Had to Take Care of Electronic Babies

Depending on where you went to school and what classes you took, you may have had a project where you had to take care of a sack of flour as if it were a child, or in this case, a robotic doll programmed to cry. Based on how frustrating these things can be, we’re not sure if these projects were designed to be a learning experience so much as birth control. It doesn’t take simulated parenting to know that kids are weird and dumb, and that toddlers have meltdowns over nothing, but having a robot baby wake up in the middle of the night might be a literal wake-up call for a high school freshman.

Text - Can you shut off my baby Today 6:14 AM Hello miss lefebvre can you please shut of the child Today 7:48 AM Good morning, I can't shut off or control your baby. It is scheduled for the times you picked when it was programmed. I can't control it. If you or tired or frustrated, ask someone to help you. If you absolutely cannot do it anymore there is an emergency shut off that would end the baby completely and would stop the process totally. If you want to do this, let me know.

These Texts Imagine A World Where Literature’s Great Romantics Had iPhones

With nearly everyone in lockdowndue to the pandemic, a lot more people seem to be dusting off the books from their shelves and getting their read on. That’s all well and good, but we prefer to get our reading done in a more meme-centric way. These text tidbits from SparkNotes manage to combine literature and memes in a way that can satisfy our need for memes as well as the more cultured readers.  The texts basically take literature‘s great lover-boys and imagine how they’d behave with an iPhone. The results are pretty priceless.

‘Nice Guy’ Reveals His Slimy Truth In Wrong Number Text

We’ve been seeing a lot of cringey nice guys making themselves known on the internet, but it looks like they’re popping up more frequently in the wild as well. Just ask the poor soul who was forced into a crappy exchange with one of them. Seems our “hero,” Keegan, was given a wrong number after making a connection with a Sandra at a club. After it becomes clear that the phone number does not belong to Sandra, Keegan somehow manages to dig himself into an even deeper whole with this complete stranger. When will people learn?

Wholesome Mom Sends Updates On Family Cat

Doesn’t get any better than getting updates of your cat all day long!

From one pet owner to another, it’s common knowledge that one of our greatest dreams would be to communicate with our pets throughout the day and see what they’re up to.

Luckily, this Imgur user, anlyin, is the closest to achieving that dream. The user’s mother sends updates of the family cat — all the time!

And yes, it’s precious!

Wrong Number Texts That Were Hilariously Happy Accidents

It’s not very nice to laugh at other peoples’ misfortunes, but these wrong number texts are innocent enough that we feel justified chuckling at ’em. As wrong number exchanges go, these are massively entertaining cases of mistaken identity, filled with wholesomeness, sass, and a whole lot of confusion.

Dude Gets Fired Over Sharing A Meme And Then Bullied By Boss’ Son

People, people, people. When will you remember the golden rule? Never become friends with your boss on social media. You can get fired. Even though we do believe y’all should be careful, as you can see in these texts, a certain Cody Hidalgo was canned for sharing a “Boss gets a dollar, I get a dime” meme that celebrates shitting on company time – and that’s pretty freakin’ ridiculous. The meme is stupid, and we can see how it might annoy an employer, but it doesn’t seem like a fireable offense. And it certainly doesn’t warrant getting bullied by the boss’ son. Read the exchange below and see if you agree.

Guy Dodges A Bullet While Date Texts Him Paragraphs

There is a lot going on here. The internet is absolutely bursting with so called “nice guys” freaking out at alarmed women that it’s a little more rare to see the guy having to escape from dangerous dates. Seriously, there are a lot of disastrous dates with nice guys.
